Wendell Rodricks is a fashion designer of international acclaim and a fierce activist for social causes. Wendell has made more than a mark on the fashion industry. His first collection earned him the title ‘Guru of Minimalism’ and his next collection pioneered the concept of ‘resort wear’ and eco-friendly garments in India. His fashion gained international attention when he became the first Indian designer to be invited to the world’s largest garment fair in IGEDO, Germany.
Wendell has been instrumental in planning and shaping the Lakme India Fashion Week. His books, Moda Goa – History and Style, and The Green Room, have tackled the diverse topics of culture and fashion, and have received rave reviews for their unique worldview. Wendell was awarded the fourth highest civilian order, the Padma Shri, in the year 2014.
