Kaustubh is one of India’s elite athletes. A former Indian swimming national champion, he started swimming at the age of nine and represented India at several Asia-Pacific championships. He is the only Asian, and the fourth person in the world, who has finished an Ironman on all six continents. His inspiring story, laced with intellect and wit, holds audiences in rapt attention.
The poster boy of Ironman in India, he finished his first race in Arizona in 2008 with a smashing time of 11 hrs 41 mins and 36 secs, the fastest debut for an Indian when not many Indians were aware of Ironman triathlon. After this, he set his sights to finish an Ironman in all 6 continents and achieved this goal in 2015 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He went on to become the only Indian to finish 20 Ironman events.
Today, Kaustubh is the First Ironman Certified Coach. He is the CEO & Founder of RadStrong, a company that offers coaching for Triathlon, Running and Sport Fitness. His Tri team RadStrong Tri is the only Tri team from India to be accepted by Ironman.
Kaustubh wants to give back to the sport he got so much from. Besides regular coaching for amateur, elite as well as professional triathletes, he offers a short format skill sharpening clinic ‘Train with Kau’ based on his own experience of racing and training, to help Triathletes become better. The demand for this workshop in India’s best country clubs and swim teams is growing by the day and receiving front page attention in the media.
