She is a well-respected cyber safety expert who advises police, government and lawmakers on handling complaints for women and children. Her mission is to educate and empower people on cyber safety and she has single-handedly brought this subject to the forefront of discussions across forums.
Akancha travels across the country to conduct workshops for various audiences on cyber safety and has engaged over a million people in her digital campaign on the subject. This initiative also has the only private chat helpline recognised and supported by the Indian Police for cyber abuse.
Her initiative is further strengthened by her rich experience as an entrepreneur for over 16 years. Akancha is the founder of Azure, a strategic Brand Consulting firm based in Mumbai. She has strategized market entry of large global brands in India and helped the launch of several start-ups and products across industries.
She is a regular contributor and mentor at global forums like MIT, Seed Camp, TiE, Nasscom and Microsoft Ventures. Several emerging businesses and international brands have retained her on their leadership advisory panels.
