Advertising guru Swapan Seth’s phenomenal journey from a college drop-out to running his own advertising agency is proof that talent and hard-work are the foundations for success. Swapan dropped out of college at 19, to get a job at JWT Calcutta. At 20, he transferred to their Hong Kong office, and by 22 he had won his first Cannes award. He won a Clio at 23, and by 24 he was the youngest ever Creative Director at Clarion. Next, he moved on to Trikaya Grey, as the Vice-President, before starting his own agency called Equus at the age of 28.
Swapan believes that every brand, every corporation, has a story – the trick in advertising is to find that story and tell it to the world in a compelling and persuasive manner.
