An ex-aviator, Soumitro Chakraborty did not want to touch the sky flying a jet only, instead, wished to fly high by promoting and creating awareness, inspiring innovative thinking and action leading to sustainable social change. Mr. Chakraborty has worked extensively in strategizing and implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability Programmes across India. His thorough understanding of the subject has allowed him to partner with various institutions which include national and multinational corporations, non-government organisations and multilateral agencies among others.
He created his niche in the industry with Fiinovation (established in 2008), an integrated solution enabler in the CSR and sustainability domain. Mr Chakraborty has successfully implemented various programmes in partnership with various corporations and NGOs in the field of health, environment, education and livelihood. He works to motivate and identify companies which operate responsibly while continuing to maximise value for all of their stakeholders.With Fiinovation, he has put together ‘Asia’s First Proposal Design and Research Laboratory’, which works towards converting challenges into opportunities by conducting thorough research and providing simple and strategic solutions to partner.
