Sanjay’s first entrepreneurial venture, homeindia.com, was one of India’s earliest internet and e-commerce businesses. Launched when the internet was just emerging in India, he adeptly navigated all stages of a start-up journey, from fundraising to managing growth challenges. His venture, Mirum Digital Pvt. Ltd, started as a social media agency and quickly evolved to become a full-service digital marketing and digital transformation solutions company, serving prominent clients such as Apollo Tyres, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, AMFI, Britannia Inds Ltd, GE, Greenlam Inds Ltd, Genpact, and more. After WPP Group acquired the company, Sanjay continued to run the business as Joint CEO until the end of 2023.
A respected industry leader, Sanjay has spoken at numerous events on topics such as digital marketing, e-commerce, digital transformation, Generative AI, and entrepreneurship. He was a jury member at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival and was invited by Spotify to do a 12-episode podcast on entrepreneurship titled “So, you want to be an entrepreneur?”. He is also a visiting faculty member at FLAME University (Pune), teaching courses in digital marketing.
Sanjay has co-authored the book “If I Had To Do It Again”, published by CNBC TV18, which shares the entrepreneurship lessons from his first venture. He also shares his knowledge through blogs, videos, articles in leading media, and social media platforms.
