“May our Dreams and Desires be bigger and bolder than our Fears and Doubts.”
From IIT-Bombay engineer to record-breaking freediver, Smruti’s journey is a testament to courage, curiosity, and the power of stepping beyond limits. After seven years in the education sector, delivering over 50 workshops on social-emotional well-being and managing client and stakeholder relationships, Smruti faced burnout and took a leap of faith with a one-way flight to the Andamans. It was there that she discovered freediving, an experience that transformed her life.
In May 2024, she became the first Indian woman to dive deeper than 40 meters on a single breath in Koh Phangan, Thailand. Since then, she has guided more than 40 individuals to feel safe, calm, and truly alive underwater. In October 2025, Smruti set three National Record Dives for Indian Women in the Philippines and shared her heartfelt journey on the TEDx stage. She also founded a non-profit focused on adolescent well-being and continues to empower individuals to embrace freedom, bravery, and adventure in both personal and professional life.
Smruti’s keynotes bring ocean-inspired insights to life, offering practical tools for personal and professional growth, while her intimate breath-holding workshops guide leaders and small groups on a hands-on journey into mindfulness, focus, and exploring their limits in a safe, transformative environment.
